Q about Inbox Fix

I used Steve's fix for my stuck emails in my Inbox. After I did the
message import, I moved the imported folders into the main Local Folders
folder and deleted the Imported folder because it was empty. After I was
done, I renamed some of the folders, while I was in Windows Mail.

When I went to backup my new Windows Mail, the Local Folders folder in the
Windows Mail folder on the C drive, still showed the Imported Folder, with
all of the old file names. None of the new folders, with the new names were
showing in the Local Folders. At some point, will the Windows Mail folder on
my C drive catch up with what is actually showing when I open up Windows Mail?

I tried deleting the Imported folder but, it kept appearing. Even when it
was empty, my new folders didn't show up in the Local Folders list. I'd made
a copy of the original Imported folder, so I put it back in the Local
Folders. So now I'm back to having the Imported folder listed in the Local
Folders list, with all of the old file names, and none of the new file names
listed anywhere.

The answer is...to get your imported messages out of the Imported Folder, you
have to create new folders (other than the generic inbox, outbox, etc.) under
the Local Folders heading, and move your messages from old folder to new
folder, while you are in the Windows Mail program. After I moved 2019
messages from lots of old folders to their new folders, and the Imported
Folder was empty, I was able to delete it. And, now, finally, my Windows
Mail folder (the location of the messagestore) matches the folders I see when
I open the Windows Mail program. This was important to me, so when I backup
my email, I'm backing up the right stuff.

Steve's fix worked. The 16 emails are gone from my Inbox. But, if you have
a lot of saved emails, the fix is not something to be taken lightly.
