PXE boot failure

Trying to install new OS can't get CD rom drives to spin up win xp just says
pxe boot failure insert boot disk

If it's trying to boot from PXE (off the LAN) it presumably means it
failed to boot from anything else. Is your CD drive connected properly
and recognized by the BIOS?
