I used to have a program (Process Viewer 2000) for closing individual
programs or restarting stuck ones. Very simple, no bells and whistles,
just did what it was asked. It's still available, but only useable for
Win 9x/ME. I'd like something similar for XP.
Any recommendations?

If you really want "Very simple, no bells and whistles," there's this
command line utility with suspend and resume functions:

Command Line Process Viewer/Killer/Suspender for Windows NT/2000/XP
V2.01

OTOH, Sysinternals Process Explorer gives you just about anything you
could possibly want in this type of utility, but I assume you've
probably ruled it out for some reason. For others, here's a link:

Thanks Ron. Although it does far more than I'll ever want, it does
have the basic 'Restart' and 'Terminate' functions, so I'll keep that.
