I have:
1. Dell Inspiron 1200 laptop computer
2. Power Point on it

3. Gateway desktop
4. NeoDVD on it

I would like to use the desktop/NeoDVD to capture video from my analog
camera and then create a video clip which will play in Power Point on the
laptop.

I need to be able to do 3 things:
1. Get the clip into a format that will work on Power Point
2. Get the clip into the same file as the Power Point display. I know how
to set up a file for the power point show, but not how to get the video clip
in ther with it
3. Get the clip onto the slide - may know how to do that once it's in the
right format. I've done it once with a file that I found on the computer.

Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Video Types (from Austin Meyers)

"QuickTime files (*.mov, or *.qt) created with versions one and two of
QuickTime. (Versions three and four are not supported.)
Audio Video Interleave (*.avi)
Motion Picture Experts Group (*.mpg, *. mpeg, *.m1v, *.mp2, *.mpa, *.mpe)
Microsoft Streaming Format (*.asf, *.asx)
Animated GIF (*.gif) While animated GIFs are not movies, they come close
enough for discussion in this document. Note:
- Only PPT2000 and later support animated GIFs
- You insert GIFs using Insert, Picture, From File (rather than Insert,
Movie, From
- As pictures, GIFs are always embedded unless you specifically choose to
link them (unlike other movie formats, which are always linked)

While other, less popular video formats exist, these are the most common and
most likely to be used in PowerPoint. Should you need to use one of the less
popular formats I strongly suggest converting it to an avi or mpg format."

Judy,

We have an add in called PFCMedia that will do all of this automatically for
you. It has a two week, fully functioning trial so you can build your
presentation immediately. The presentation will continue to work after the
trial ends and it may be freely distibuted to other machines that do not
have the add in. (The add in is NOT required to play the presentation.)

Download the trial from http://www.pfcmedia.com
