Many possibilities with slow computer - if you had a virus/bug and had
restore option on, than the virus would also be in your back up points,
so when you restore you restore the same problem. Are you getting any
blue screen errors? Have you recently installed any new hardware or
software? Is it a new computer? If yes, you might have somehow
corrupted your Operating System and need to reimage (reload) the hard
drive by using the install disks. Or if you have an old machine and
recently loaded Windows XP, the old machine may have problems being
efficient (slow processor, video card and not enough RAM). As a
computer tech, when someone tells me they have a slow computer i need a
lot more information, including all the above questions answered, plus
a look inside the beasty.
