Pushout and remove UltraVNC automatically

M

Mark Mancini

Available for FREE download, no hidden $ required (unless you want to donate
to re-elect W) a VERY cool app.

Imagine this.....you need to handle an admin request on your LAN/WAN and
want a clean and easy way to handle it. Either via IP or NetBIOS name you
simply put in the name of the machine, it pushes out the UltraVNC
installation for you to remote and manage and then when you are done it
removes itself!!!!

How awesome is that? Go to the download section of www.mcse2000.com and
grab that along with a bunch of other cool apps!

Hi Mark

I couldnt get this to work

Whenever I try to remotely install VNC I get a series of error messages, all
similar to:

unable to copy 'c:\program files\unltravnc\winvnc,exe' to
\\192.168.0.80\admin$\system32\rc\winnvc.exe' the network path was not
found.

Any ideas?

Jim

Now, Mark ... it may be intuitive ... but if someone get's an error message
.... then some type of instruction is required!

Never used this app, but I've been using strcm for a couple of years now and
its basically the same thing, what you need to do is see if you go to run
and type in \\ip_address\admin$ does it find it, and if so does it ask for a
password? if you enter the username/password (admin rights) and it lets you
in, then run the app again, it should be fine.

Thanks a million Steven. It works perfectly now. This will save me so much
effort.

What else can you install using STRCM?

I can't take credit for its design, just the free bandwidth to
offer
it
:)

Hey Mark,

Where've you been? Created this package? ;o)

I've never tried to play with it, and it says its only for VNC at the
moment, but I cant see why you couldn't install anything else remotely, just
remeber that you have to list ALL the files you want copied across in the
settings file, and that could end up being a long list.
