pushing Outlook e-mails into Hotmail

Hello:

About six years ago, I had some friends in the industry who configured their
Outlook boxes to dump their Outlook e-mails mail into their Hotmail accounts
so that they could view their work e-mails if they were not at work.

I would like to do this now, also, so that I can view my work e-mail from my
cell phone's Hotmail account.

How can I do this? Do I have to be sitting at the Exchange server to do
this? Hopefully not, since I am not in IT and have no such access.

Thanks!

They had probably set up a rule to send a copy of the emails to their hotmail
account. However if you're connecting to an Exchange server via Outlook your
Exchange person has probably disabled auto-forwarding to the internet. You
can try to create a rule for it but if you're working in an Exchange
environment, it may not work.

I have Exchange at work also and have a rule that will forward any work
emails to my personal email at home. Unfortunately, it is a "client only"
rule so Outlook has to remain running in order for the forwarding to work.
So, like on a day like today when I am working out of the house, I leave my
work email account running and get emails forwarded to me. Makes it much
easier than trying to have everyone send email to two different address.
Maybe a rule like this will work for you too...
