is there a way i can purchase only a full working version of word. my boss
uses word to email show scheduals to employees and i would like to be able to
save them. i dont have any use at all for any of the other office products
and i am not going to pay that much ******* money just for word. i have
spent half an hour searching the microsoft website and now i have to go find
some asprin and my stress ball. so again my question is about getting a full
working version of microsoft word and not going broke purchasing a bunch of
programs i will never use.

that is a rediculus price for a word prosessor. i found that i have works
word processor and i guess i will use that, looks to be the same and im not
out 200 bucks, thanks anyhow

Whatever makes you happy. (Just so you aren't complaining when someone with
Word can't open your Works files.)

Get your boss to send you to a conference in Kuala Lumpur. You can pick up
'working' versions of anything at a flat rate of five ringgits a CD. That's
about $2.

Here are two *free* alternatives...

If you don't need to change anything, but just want to read and print
the documents, you can use the Word Viewer, which is a free download
from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...87-8732-48D5-8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en

If you do need to make changes and save them, Open Office can read and
write files in Word format: http://www.openoffice.org/

The least expensive way to purchase Word is to buy the Works Suite. It
includes Word and is less expensive than the stand-alone version of Word.
