Punkbuster and vista

I have a problem with COD2 and Battle Field 2 when playing online. I login
to a server and when punk buster loads I get an error message and kick me
off the server. I tried the run as a administor but still no luck? Any
ideas

Try running CoD2 under compatibility mode with XP, also make sure your pb is

That seems odd that BF2 isn't working right with the Run as administrator
option. That seems to have worked for everyone else. Is the error message,
Insufficient OS Privileges ?

One other thing you can try, is turning off the UAC for a bit, and see how
it works there. You can find that option under Control panel, User Accounts,
as noted in this pic

Unfortunatley for some reason I cannot see the first post so apologies if you
tried these suggestions already. I am running vista with no problems with
punkbuster.
Have you tried manually updating PB from the evenblance website?

Ok, basically i have the same problem, except i've tried all of the
things suggested.
I have run it as an administrator, i have turned of UAC, i have added
the port in my firewall, blah blah, i've installed punkbuster manually
and configured it for both bf2 and 2142, and still whenever i play
either online, i get kicked within 5 seconds with a blank punkbuster
message...

here's both the files you need..run them in this order then add your game
and click update.
