Hello

Hope this is the right place, have a windows 2003 server and we are now
using group policy to deploy applictions. Now we do not want these
applications isntalled automatically so we set it to be published under the
user configuration. The problem is i want the links for these applications to
be put in the all users profiles, and even if the user has admin rights it is
still only installing them in the current users startmenu and desktop.

Hello Adam,

If you assign the program to a computer, it is installed when the computer
starts and is available to all users that log on to the computer. When a
user first runs the program, the installation is finalized. So change from
user configuration to computer configuration.

Best regards

I thought it could be to-do with the user/computer configuration sections.
Although some of these programs arnt needed by all people, and so we were
trying to use publish so that those that needed it could install it. Slightly
annoying their is no publish option for computer configuration
