I currently use Corel Word Perfect which has an option to
save as 'Publish to PDF'. This in turn creates a file in
Acrobat Reader format that I can attach to an e-mail. Is
there anyway to do this in Microsoft Word. I also use
that software but have been unable to save it in PDF
format so that I can attach it to an e-mail.

Yes, you can do same in Word ... however.

I'm not sure how Corel does it. I believe that it's included with the
product for use swith Corel Word Perfect and not used by other programs.
I could be wrong. I don't have Word Perfect to check.

Look at your printer drivers, and if one is Adobe Distiller or Adobe PDF
Writer, then use this "printer" from Word. I suspect this won't work
from Word, but look anyway.

To do from Word, you need to obtain a way to make PDF files. The ways are:

1. Buy Adobe Acrobat Standard ... see www.adobe.com
2. Get Ghostscript for free and use it's PS2PDF program (PostScript to
PDF). Output from Word in PostScript and make PDF. See
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/
3. Pick any of a number of other commercial products to make PDF. See
http://www.planetpdf.com/ to start your search.
