Publishing Strikes Again

I am looking for some publishing help.
I'm publishing to a Web Server (want to publish in HTTP). I looked up the
brief article in FP about using the Remote Web Site to publish. I'm done with
the site, anxioius to publish and I have some newby questions.

I want to know how I should discern between what to publish and what not. Do
I publish the 'small' things. Like for instance do I publish the full images
folder - which includes all the interactive button pictures and all my other
photos?

Is there a really good MVP webpage that breaks these things down into
detail? The Microsoft FP description just wasn't quite enough for me. Any
assistance would be helpful.

(A little extra background on my situation - I just spent a good.. month..
screwing around with Microsoft Publisher. I've never been able to publish the
site properly after reading every help page and posting on the discussion
board numerous times. And so here I am recreating all that work and
transferring it into Front Page. The only thing I can do now is keep my
fingers crossed and hope that I can publish it this time!!!)

If you can connect successfully using the http method of publishing, just
click "Publish Site" button (should be in the vicinity of the lower right
hand corner near buttons saying "remote to local" "local to remote" and
"Synchronise site" (or very similar) and leave it to FP to publish
everything that is required.

If you dont want certain files published you can mark them "Do Not Publish"
(right-click the file and choose that option) it marks the files with a red
circle/white 'x'. It's a bit of work if there was a lot of things you
didn't want to publish to mark them all but I think you can select multiple
files and mark them do not publish in one go rather than individually.

Also, you can publish individual files - click the arrow on the centre of
the two file list panes the right-pointing arrow meaning publish to
server" - so just select the files and/or folders you wanto publish and
click that right-arrow.

No surprises with the Publisher problems - it is not intended for making web
pages!

Hoping this helps you --- post back if you want more information. Have a
look here for the (basic) tips on publishing:

redesigning and I have my web page published and running wonderfully!! I'm
sssssoooo excited to have this done!
