Publishing page border issue

Hi, when I make one of the page borders a solid color or
picture, I can preview it from within FP but not once it
is published. I have FP extensions running with all the
latest updates/patches. I can use features like the
search without any problems. Any ideas?

I dont know if this is related, but when I go to the
control panel to administer the extensions, I am told
that the administrator program is too old and not
compatible with the extensions. I am running xp with all
the critical patches installed.

If I right click in FP, I can set Border properties for
the Top/Left/Bottom and Right(if configured) and then
specify a color or picture to use. I can also access this
through the menu's "Format-Shared borders-border
properties"

Oh, shared borders. They're "picky".
Try refreshing your browser or clearing your cache.
A URL to the site would be helpful.

I tried clearing the cache and refreshing the page, but
still no good. I use a dial up conection and wont be
publishing to the web untill the site is completed.

I did get this functionality working momentarily, I went
to "format-themes" and had a play with the settings in
this area, but after making further changes have lost the
ability again. I am more than confident that this is a
bug.

Thanks for all your help, If I ever find the definitive
cause for this I will post an answer here. thanks again.

Ok.... the answer is...
Apparently you cannot set a color or picture if you are
using a theme, or something along these lines. Remove the
theme - set the graphic and then customise the pages.

Well it remains a mystery then... I have replicated the
problem (un-intentionally) and it is pretty annoying when
it does happen.

You CAN change a background color in a shared border even if it's in a theme.
Right click inside the border. Make sure you are
editing the proper border (left, top, bottom etc.)
Perhaps you have a table in there covering the border
color underneath.
