HELP New Problem - Shared Border missing

M

Millie

Solved my problem with publishing (see previous post) by having host
re-install FP extensions. I published successfully but now the Shared Border
on the left of the home page is missing. It is the only page on which I use
a theme. It Previews in Browser fine, but the shared border is not there on
the published site. I have tried changing shared border characteristics and
putting them back as original, but still they will not "go up." They are
not publishing. WHY?..... (never had this problem before either)

I added the tags in html and published but still no shared border. However,
I do notice one difference in HTML. On the published site on the web there
is a line

before ending <body> <html>

That line is NOT in my disk based web that I am trying to upload..... What
does that line do? Does it prevent that shared border from loading...

The mstheme (theme) tags / nav tags are applied when you save your pages if you use either
In code view right click and select reformat html
make sure the page ends in </body></html>

It did but it still would not publish the shared borders. As I said, that is
the only page I used a theme on so I solved the problem by choosing No
Theme. Then used same background jpg as the background of theme and
inserted a table in the shared border on left and used buttons with text
which I made in PSP but used the button gifs from the theme and added text
and saved as new gifs. (thank goodness for search in XP so I could find the
darn graphic files used in the theme). So now it is published and looks
almost the same as it did before my problems started. Thanks for your help.
