Publishing from FP client appends files instead of overwritting them.

We are using Front Page 2002.

We have a situation were we use a developement server for our clients
to
publish to. Once they are ready they then publish to our production
server.

A couple of times now when the clients have published to the
production server the files have ended up being appended to the
original file. When we opened the page it the text of the file was
replicated more than once. (up to three times in one instance)

The developement machine seems to be fine. Since the issue has only
happened twice in several years that doesn't mean much though.

I have searched and searched the web but cannot find anything about
this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I've never heard of this, but since I'm not omnipotent, that doesn't
mean much.

Are you certain the problem is happening during publishing and not on
the client's end when they are editing the pages?

Sorry to to ask an obvious question, but sometimes...
