Publishing and getting conflict messages

Many time, when I publish my files, I get a message stating that files have
changes on both sides (local and on server). I don't understand this but
I'm the only one that has access to the files so I select the option to
overwrite the files on the server.

Any ideas why this happens all the time.

Are you by any chance logging on to the computer with different user
accounts?? Doing so will cause this as FrontPage sets the author of a file
as the user name that's logged on to the machine.

No I'm not. I use the same computer, for all development work. Nobody else
has access to this computer plus I've seen the problem happen multiply times
while I'm still logged on.

I'm confident that overwriting the server is no problem, but understanding
the root cause would be nice to know.

This occurs becuase a file's timestamp on the server has unexpectedly
changed since you last published.
