Publishing a presentation saved as a web page

I am attempting to create my first web page. I've got my presentation
finished and have saved it as a web page. However, when I attempt to upload
the file to my free web hosting service, I get a message saying the file
extension/type is unrecognized.
How can I go from saving it as a web page to actually publishing it?

The result of a save as web page should be an HTML file (.htm) and a folder.
Both need to be uploaded to make the webpage work. You may want to remove
any spaces from the title (prior to saving as html), since some web based
servers seem to have difficulty with them.

Security may block the active-X controls that run the presentation, until
you tell them to allow it using the browsers security settings. Are you
working behind a locked down computer (possibly, by a zealous computer
department)?

Bill,
Thanks for such a clear and concise response! It all makes sense. I'm
working from my PC at home, so there is no interference or blockage from the
computer guru dept. I'm heading back to the drawing board to give it another
shot.
