I have Windows XP Home version and have not yet had it a year. I'm not sure
if publisher is installed on my computer or if you have to order it special,
I had it on my last computer and when I got it, it came with publisher ready
to use. How do I activate it or access it? Or do I have to buy it? Any
help would be great! Thanks

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, Publisher, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows
operating system. They are, and always have been, separate
applications, that must be purchased and installed separately.

You'll either need to go to a store that sells computer software,
or purchase it from a reputable on-line vendor, such as Newegg, CDW, or
Amazon. Don't try to buy it on eBay; the chances of getting ripped off
there are significant.
