Publish Frontpage Page to Miva Merchant Site

Good Afternoon,

We have a Miva Merchant 4.XX website that was designed in Miva. There are a
small amount of pages that were designed and edited within Frontpage. I
don't use FP2003 to publish them, instead I use an FTP program. I have a
form now that uses FP components. Is there a way I can publish 1 page to a
Miva Merchant site without messing up the store design and layout. It's a
survey form that will save results in .txt file and email to me. Thanks!

Sincerely,
Anthony Smith

Hi Anthony,

Using a FrontPage form will not work unless two things occur:

The host site has the FrontPage extensions installed on it.

It must be *published* to the site..using ftp the form will not work as that
will corrupt the extensions.

Hard to say what will happen with your design..however if you only publish
the form page itself..I would think you would be OK.

Does the server for the Miva Merchant 4.XX website have FrontPage
extensions??
The FrontPage form requires extensions.
It also "Must" be published using http://

Unless you have the entire web on your local machine, I see problems.

Or possibly, create a sub web on the server and publish the form to the sub
web.

Yes FP extensions are installed on the server. It looks like I'm not going
to be able to use a Frontpage form. It looks like I'm going to have to use
Matt's Script Archive - FormMail for this survey.

Thank you all for your help, have a blessed day!
