Public Folders - 2003

I want to make specific folders available over the net when users access
there webmail. So I guess the idea would be to use Public Folders
right.....Is it possible to store folder with files within them and then
access them over the web via webmail? - OWA?
There are folders/files in our network that I want specific users to have
access to when out of the office, instead of having e-mails with the
attachements, cause there are many folders and files. I want to set up an
Windows Explorer type concept within Public folders so it can be access via
OWA instead of setting up a VPN.
Possible? Solution?

Files can be stored in OWA, not file system folders (except for more public
folders).

Which version of Exchange are you using? If 2000/2003, research "web storage
system" - this might be a good starting point:

BTW - this might be a good use for windows sharepoint services if you're
using win2k3.

Yes I am using Windows Server 2003 - Exchange 2003
Any more information would be great.

Was looking at the link your provided Interesting product, not sure what use
it would be...if you already are in outlook why would you want this extra
storage thing......looks like it only deals with outlook
content....contacts, e-mail and what not....But what i am looking for is
storage for office type documents.....doc, excel, pdf and what not.
Or am I missing something?

how can i make use of windows sharepoint services to store my outlook
mails?

Save you messages the format you want (like msg or htm) and then upload it
to your WSS site.

Ah, well I couldn't smell that

Check with the developers in outlook.program_vba some MVP's are very driven
in integration with SharePoint so they might give you some other ideas as
well.
