public folder

My pc is used by nobody else but me. There is a public folder for other
users to share, but I really do not need it. I tried to delete it but
failed.

How do I get rid of the public folder please ?

Why bother? if it's empty then it's taking up almost zero disk space....

Thanks, & I agree up to a point

But it confuses my files/folders lists , I have enough problems navigating
my C: drive, deleting these unecessary folders would make it shorter &
simpler.
