Hi,

I am running an Outlook 2002 client that when I view some of my public
folders (not all), I see that there are, for example, 20 messages in total -
say 18 read, 2 unread.

The pane at the bottom of my client comes up with alsorts of numbers of read
and unread - but not what it should be?

Exchange Server 2000 - latest Security Roll-up installed.

Any help appreciated

Cheers
Chris.

Are you sure the view is set to display al messages?

Correct,

Unless there are any setting other than at the top under view??

Chris.

That should be it. Reset it in Define Views to make sure it displays all
mail. Are the readings of the read/unread messages at the bottom the same
for all clients around the office or are they different from yours as well?

Yes, but when others access that Public Folder do they get the same count as
you get?

unfortunately, we all run Outlook 2003 which does not reproduce the problem.
I happen to have another machine with outlook 2002 - which comes up worng.

Though other people have had the same problem with pre-2003 clients, it
looks like the error count is the same.
