Psychedelic CRT

I've got a flat-screen CRT monitor that went psychedelic--displaying
crazy colors on a screen that is suppose to be uniform in color. You
can see a picture of what I'm talking about here:

A classic case of unwanted magnetization. Assuming that the
internal degauss coil is not sufficient to clear this problem (or is
completely inoperative), the solution is to get thee to a degauss
coil. Any TV repair shop should have one.

Bob's probably right... Unless you have put some new (and not well
shielded) speakers near your monitor?

Or maybe it got dropped on its face??? I would not have believed it, but
that actually
happened to my daughter - and it really messes up the color purity - *THAT*
issue can
not be fixed by degaussing because it results from physical shift of either
the yoke or
the shadow mask.
