PSU Connectors?

Depending on the PSU make, the +4 part of the 20+4 connector
either disconnects completely, or unclips on one side and swings
away from the 20 pin block. The other 4 pin connector you mention
supplies the +12v power for the CPU.

Unless the mobo was designed by incompetents. Speaking of ECS, I have
an Nforce3A ver. 1.0A mobo with a small electrolytic capacitor located
exactly where it blocks the locking tabs of most 24-pin and 20+4-pin
connectors:

Thats not as bad as intel making an Intel 915 Chipset motherboard with
capacitors mounted exactly where they block the only two PCIe 1X slots on the
motherboard.
