PST required?

To use the Buisness Contact Manager, does it require a PST file? I've tested
it and it seems that it does but there isn't anyway I can confirm this. Does
anyone know for sure?

To use BCM you do not require a pst file ,however features in BCM like the
email auto linking would require the same in order to track the history for
either a
Buisness Contact or an Account
