PST in both Outlook 2003 and 2007

Can you share the same PST file in both Outlook 2003 and 2007? On the
network, we are using 2003; however, on my desktop, I have 2003 installed
while on my desktop I have 2007 installed, but I'm afraid to open Outlook
2007 because I'm not sure how if it will work without damaging the PST file.
Basically, I have one PST file on the network and would like to be able to
use 2003 or 2007 depending upon which computer I am using at the time. Can
this be done or should I just stick with 2003?

You are aware that accessing PST files over a network is neither recommended
or supported? It is far more likely to damage your PST file than using 2
different Outlook versions.
