pst import v5.5 to 2000

I am trying to import a .pst file from version 5.5 to 2000 I have read
through your correspondence and tried the scan.pst to repair the file of
course read only flag is off and I have tried to add from services also. The
error I get is as follows:
the personal.pst file is not compatible with this version of the personal
folders service information.

Did the PST file come from an Outlook 2003 mail client? (Outlook 2003
introduced a new file format that isn't backward compatible. This new
format is also not compatible with Exmerge.)
