.pst files

After I have archived my inbox folders into a .pst file, I
try to open the archived folder and I get a message that
the .pst file is not a personal file folder - and it will
not open the archived folder.

Any ideas?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, todd asked:

What is your overall goal? I have found the best way to back up my Outlook
data is to copy the outlook.pst file to my backup destination directly.
