PST files

I exported a PSt file(4.9GB) & saved it to My Documents. I'm trying to copy
it to an external hard drive & it gives me the following error:

Cannot copy "filename": there is not enough free disk space

I have more that 150GB of free space left...

I appreciate any help on this matter!
 
I checked all the options the external hd & there were none about the
reserved space. How can I see those options??

Not addressing your issue per se, but can you copy the original PST? Why
would you export to a PST when your data is ALREADY in a PST (if you're not
using Exchnage)?
