Outlook 2002 SP3

I have to keep many e-mails that I received due to the nature of my work. My
pst file reached 2GB and I could not receive e-mails, chage and save changes.
I created new personal folder and moved many e-mails to a new personal
folder. I repeated this procedure several times and archived messages several
times. At this time there are 6 archive folders in my folder list and 1
personal folder. There are pobably some duplicate e-mails in all these
folders.

How can I find and delete duplicate e-mails in archived and personal folders?
Even if I archive my personal folder, archived folder reaches maximum size
very quickly. Is there a solution to this problem.
Please help.

Perhaps a tool like Google Desktop Search or Lookout would help with this.

There may be some mail duplicate checkers at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm, but if you archived, there should be no duplicates, since archiving moves, not copies, a message to the archive file.

Hi, Sue:
I just loged in. Thanks for your note. The problem is that I had to recreate
personal folder several times since pst was reaching 2gb. As the result, I
have 6 archive folders. Some of them reached the max capacity. I was copiing
e-mails from archive folder to personal folder. Some time later I moved
e-mails from archive forlder (s) that used to be personal forlder to newly
created personal forlder. I did it several times. I was hoping that there is
a tool that can find duplicate e-mails and I can delete them. I do not know
which e-mails are duplicate.

But moving them to another PST doesn't help the existing PST's size unless
you delete the message from the old PST after moving it to the new one, so I
don't see how you could have duplicates.

I amy not be explaining it properly. I do have duplicate e-mails in my 6
archive folders (created unintentionally) and 1 personal folrder

Well, then, Sue's pointers to potential add-ins are probably your best bet.
