pst files from xp to vista

In using outlook within xp have exported pst files to to flash drive and then
imported to other computer running xp. New computer runs vista ultimate with
office 2003. My other computer is xp with office 2003. When I try to import
outlook pst files from the xp to the vista machine, I go through the import
files process. Everything looks fine and I browse to the drive the flash is
in. When I click on the bu, vista cannot locate? I tried copying the flash
files to the outlook backup site but still could not find. I was able to get
my contacts and calendar on the machine via pda, but I need my saved e-mails
etc. on the new machine

As explained countless times; with OL closed you copy the data files,
transfer them to a suitable location on the other PC, eg Documents folder -
do NOT overwrite any existing data files -
Then within OL, File>Open>Browse to the location & open them/it
You then have a number of options; leave the data file open or copy stuff
from old to new, then close that data file

Except I have the same problem and your advice does not work. --and there isn't File>Open>Browse but I assume you mean File>Open>Outlook data file
