PST Files cause general error

Whenever I try to open any pst file Outlook 2007 shuts down. It does not
report any error except the general error asking if you would like to reopen
the application. I ran scanpst on the files and got no errors. The only way
to re-enter Outlook is to open the properties dialog and removing all pst
files from the Data File list.

Outlook starts ok so long as all PST files are disabled. Non of the PST files
show errors when scanpst is run on them.
