Hi, I've compacted my .pst file because I wanted to back it up on a CD but it was too big. So after compacting it I opened up 2 window explorer windows inorder to copy it from my hard drive to my CD. However, I'm getting the following error

"Cannot copy outlook: The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file".

I don't have outlook running when I'm trying to copy

Thanks in advance

Are you positive? Start Task Manager and look to see of OUTLOOK.EXE shows
up.

Hi,

Hmm. Typical MS problem. Restrt your machine. Don't open
outlook and then copy you .pst file.
