Pst file still locked

I still can't get Outlook to start. If I try to open my
Outlook.pst file the message I get is "The process cannot
access the file becasue another process has locked a
portion of the file". I've checked properties on the file
to be sure it isn't read only, and I've rebooted the
machine. No luck yet.

I am experiencing tne same error message. I have

Outlook automatically backing up the pst files to a
folder in docs and settings, which is then auto backed up
to an external location by the backup software. It was
working fine until this error message came up. I cannot
figure out what other process could have locked a portion
of the file.

Mine stopped when I was trying to import my Lotus
Organizer file data. Outlook 2000 has a direct import
routine to do this, and was running ok it seemed, but then
simply stopped, and I haven't been able to open the file
since then.
