I have a user with a space limited laptop who wants to move his pst
files over to a DVD but outlook will not access them when they are
read only.

I am wondering if there is an outlook trick or a 3rd party utility
available to allow outlook to access these file off removable media.

Outlook MUST have Read/Write capability to the PST to work with it.

Thanks In Advance

If the user purchases a DVD-RW drive will that facilitate the ability
to view the PST file on a DVD-R or would it have to be a DVD-RW?

Hi Jay,
if you have burned the pst file on a dvd, the pst file is write protectet.
You have to copy the pst file on your hd and make sure that the write
protecting is disabled!
