I want to use my contacts list from my lap top (xp) on my
desktop computer at home(me). both have outlook 2000.
when importing the pst i get warning "properties for this
information service must be defined prior to use" and
the "you do not have permission required to access these
files"

Copy the file from the media on which you backed up the .pst file to your
hard drive and remove the read-only property. The file is probably on a CD
which is read-only. Outlook requires exclusive read/write access to the
file.
