Not sure if this is the place to ask. Have downloaded PsShutdown with a view
to being able to shutdown other PC's on my home network. I haven't had any
success getting it to run, but then I don't know what 'Just copy PsShutdown
onto your executable path' means or whether I run it from the run command or
from the black screen DOS command?

The path is where XP looks for executable files. You can find all the paths
that XP is aware of by opening a command prompt and typing "path" (no
quotes). Putting PsShutdown in the root or C:\ is a good bet. After that
you should be able to run the program from either the command line or the run
command.

Additionally, you can add your own path by right clicking on "My Computer"
and the selecting "Properties" and then "Advanced" and then "Environment
Variables". Scroll down the "System Variables" list until you find "Path".
Click edit and add the path to where you installed the program.
