PSC 2210 no longer using Scanner & Camera Wizard

All,

I have an HP PSC 2210 all-in-one. I set it up a long time ago, and
everything worked fine. (Well, some of the HP COM Devices crash often,
but they don't seem to affect anything, and they have since I installed
the printer).

I use the PSC 2210 as a digital camera memory stick reader quite
frequently. Every since I got the printer 4 yrs ago, I would insert
the memory stick in the printer, and on my PC, the Scanner & Camera
Wizerd would start, and I would use that do copy the photos to my PC.

As of yesterday, it stopped. Now, when I insert the memory stick, the
printer prompts to upload photos to PC, or print photos. If I don't
select anything, it times out and does nothing. If I select upload
photos to PC, some HP Upload software (which I've never used before)
tries to upload the photos.

The only thing that changed was that my PC downloaded a Windows Update
of IE7, and forced me to reboot. After that reboot is when things
changed.

How do I get it back to the way it was? I would like to be able to
insert my memory stick, and have the Scanner & Camera Wizard start up.

Sounds like the default association for processing memory card contents
got changed when you installed IE7. There is a setting somewhere in
Windows where you should be able to change it back, although I don't
know off the top of my head where the setting is. You might try going
to Start --> Help and Support (assuming Windows XP) and then searching
for "change default association" or something similar. I think you'd
find the solution that way.

Good luck.
