PS2 mouse double right click?

Hi,
problem with any PS2 mice in Windows XP Pro.
If I right click on any web page(say Google)then I either get a blank
popup(like a menu)and then MSN homepage opens or if I right click(to
highlight and then copy)a link on any web page then it does the same thing.
If right clicking to highlight a link on Google the it opend the google page
all over asgain.
How can I disable what seems to be double clicking for the right mouse
button?
All I want is normal single click for the right mouse button and normal
double click for left button.
It seems like windows sees a single right click as a double.

There used to be an odd 'feature' in several of my older installations
ranging from Windows 95 to XP, where an accidental right-double-click
would prompt Windows to silently swap the mouse buttons;
Left to right, right to left.
The solution was to hold both buttons down, and release in correct order
to switch the buttons back again - hold left/right, release right, then
left.
Whether or not this helps your case I am not sure, this is an old one for
me.
In my case(s) there was no proprietary mouse driver or control software
installed for mouse buttons/features/etc (Plain mouse will do, thanks).
You may wish to check if you have any such proprietary software installed
for your mouse first.

I found out it is Internet explorer causing the problem.
If I use a different web browser then there is no problem.

Thanks for posting back.
If you find the symptoms go away when using a different browser, perhaps
you should check what plugins run inside Internet Explorer; a recent
install/update of some plugin could have caused the fault.
Not knowing your version of IE, generally speaking the plugins are
usually managed from the Extra menu in later versions.
It may also be an idea to do a malware check on your system.

Fixed it it seems by swapping what left and right buttons do and then
swapped back again.
