PrtScn Command still work in Vista?

Does the 'print screen' command (button on keyboard) still put the image in
the clipboard for subsequent paste?
I just bought this HP with Vista and it doesnt seem to do what i have been
doing for years.

I tried to follow some of the threads in this site but non said anything
about it being an issue with Vista, and i searched for 'clipbrd.exe' and
didnt find it.

any suggestions

Yes, Vista still does this. I can copy the screen to the clipboard using
PrtScreen, then paste into a program that is capable of receiving an
image.

"Clipbrd.exe" is the clipbook viewer program - for viewing the contents
of the clipboard. I don't think that it is included with Vista (probably
because almost no one used it?).

Did you get a new keyboard too? Some that I have seen require you to hit
the key twice (to keep from accidentally triggering the function), or
perhaps press some other key as well to enable the function. Some newer
keyboards also have a "Fn lock" key which turns on/off the function keys
(and perhaps other keys such as PrtScreen as well).

it was the "F-Lock" key. I pushed it once and and then my print screen
began to work.
Phew! it doesnt get any easier than that to fix something.
I was dreading the "go here, then copy this, and move it there, and run
this...etc)
