providing internet access

My aim is to provide internet access to an offsite employee. Office network
would act like an ISP but offering only web surfing.

Offsite client has Win98 and a dial-up modem..
Office has Win NT network (PDC, BDC), Win2k Server as proxy server connected
to the ISP via DSL.

I've installed a dial-up modem (same model as client's) on the Win2k server
and configured RRAS. Initial efforts were unsuccessful - client was able to
log in to the network but IE showed nothing. If I remember right, the error
has something to do with DNS.

Any ideas on what I could have missed?

Does the client have the correct proxy settings?

Sorry for the late reply as I was on-leave due to the death of my mother.

Many thanks for you replies, Robert and Bill.

Unfortunately, the test client I was using was re-configured so that I can
no longer verify the settings. As far as I remember, the client was using
the DNS addresses of my DSL provider.

I hope you can help me correctly configure the proxy settings as I can no
longer recall. But I do remember setting up the dialup networking for
dialling the office modem.
