Protocol PPP

My computer always worked very wel to conect to internet,
before a company came to my house to instal the wide band
service and someone unproperly changed the configuration
of my dial up system.

Now, whem I trie to make a dialed conection to internet, I
get a message that it " was impossible to negotiate a PPP
conection with the server"

Can someone help me indicating which is te apropriated way
to solve this problem?

I gather you now have a Cable/DSL modem. this is a 24/7 setup which is
always connected to the internet. Dialup is not requirerd. Your dialup
modem should not be connected. You are already connected that's why it
gives that message, however, you have to setup your PC to work with the
Router or the Cable/DSL modem. Call Tech support.
