Silly question, but if you have forgotten your password for a protecte
sheet, is there anyway of getting round this

Yes. The password can be "cracked." Do a search for the details. This is a
common question. I would have to look it up if I needed it, too.

You can actually unlock worksheet protection (exploiting a
bug) with just two lines of code. However, I don't wish
to make it public here. I mention this as a sobering
reminder about Excel's worksheet protection.
