Protection of I.E Favourites?

P

Paul Smallridge

As far as I can see the current product doesn't offer any
protection of your Favourites folder in Internet Explorer!

Are there any plans to include it in the product. Whilst
it may not necesarily be "anti spyware" functionality
this seems like the most obvious product to offer
soemthing like it. I get fed up seeing RealPlayer, and
MSN, putting stufff in my Favourites without my
permission!

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

I would suspect this is a default behavior of expected applications such as
Real, which has been adding links to the favorite menu for years, which
would mean then MSAS is programmed expect such a behavior.

Hi Paul,
If Real is being obnoxious, you can open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons and
disable it's BHO. That may prevent the issue you are having.
I can't test it here, as I won't let RP on my machines.
