Hello all,

thank u

Lara

All cells in a new worksheet have Protection property set
on (Format/Cells/Protection) by default, so that when you
protect the whole sheet, all the cells are protected. You
want to do the inverse. Try this...

Select the whole sheet by clicking on the upper left hand
square where the row and column headers meet. Go to
Format/Cells/Protection and uncheck the protection
option. Click OK. Now ALL cells are unprotected. Select
the cell you want to protect and turn it's protection
property back on. Now when you protect the sheet, all the
cells will be unprotected except the one you turned back
on.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Here is what to do. Select the whole sheet and then go to
the Format Menu and select Cells. Click on the Protection
Tab and make sure that the Protected check box is not
ticked. Now co to the single cell you wish to protect and
go to the same menu. this time make sure the check box is
ticked. Now go to the Tools menu and choose Protection,
then Protect Worksheet or Workbook - depending what you
wish. From here you protect the worksheet, but it only
protects those cells the cell you chose to protect - you
may enter a password if you wish.

Et Voila
