Protecting Forms

Is it possible to protect a form and at the same time
allow the form header and footer to be modified. i
can't see a way to do it.

No, header and footer are not accessible in a protected form. But see

No! - what is it you are trying to modify? I header/footer repeats on every
page. Can you achieve what you want with REF or Styleref fields to carry
information from the form?
