Protecting a worksheet

Hello,

I am using checkboxes on a worksheet and would now like to know how to
protect the worksheet so only the checkboxes can be checked. When a
checkbox is checked the price of the item appears in the cell next to
the checkbox. Can I protect my sheet and still be able to use the
checkboxes as I would like to? I have tried to go under Tools,
Protection....but this does not enable the checkbox to be used. Any
help would be appreciated. (I am not familiar with using macros)

Hi
you have to 'unlock' the cell which is linked to your checkbox. Try
- select this linked cell
- goto 'format - Cells - Protection'
- uncheck 'Locked'

now protect your worksheet
