Ted

I have a need to protect a .ppt presentation without using
another product such as adobe acrobat. I know that both
Word and Excel allow for document protection under the
tools menu, but there is no equivalent function in ppt
that I can find.

Also, is there a way to designate a .ppt file as read-only?

Thanks,

Ted

Ted,

Read-only doesn't really protect a document. People can still open it...save
it under a new name...and their away!
Also right click, properties...untick read-only.

Powerpoint xp/2002 supports passwords

If you want to share you included in ppt presentation with someone and you aware of the copyright protection there is an opportunity to protect your presentation converting it to a video file! Presentation to Video Converter can help you with it! Try it on www.geovid.com.
It's a shareware program but it has a trial version!!!
