Protected Document

I believe that I have "protected" a document and now have no access to
change, print, do anything with it. How do I "unprotect" so I can make
changes without retyping the entire page?

Under the "Tools" menu, if your document is protected you will see "Unprotect
Document". Click on that to remove the protection. If you used a password
when it was protected, enter the password. If you've forgotten the password
you are out of luck...have fun re-typing.

Yeah. Tried that. Have no "Tools" menu. No other options. I remember the
password, but have no place to un-do.

Thanks for your help.

Going to re-type now. At least it let me print.... LOL

Is this Word 2007? The forms tools are on the developer tab (which is not
active by default). Word Options > Popular > Show Developer Tab in the
ribbon.

Protection for forms should not prevent you from printing the document.
