Protected cells in Word 2007 form

I have a Word template/form I created in the 2003 version, and some cells are
protected. Now that I've upgraded to Word 2007 I can't figure out how to
unprotect the cells. I found Protection under the Review tab, but it really
doesn't let me do anything and the cells are still protected. Anyone cracked
the code to this?

Hi Pat,

Uswe the same logic as using the START button to shutdown. Proceed with that
Protection option you found. Open protection, choose the first option,
Restrict formatting and editing, and a task opane will open. Near teh bottom
of that task pane you will find a Stop Protection button.

Thank you - that did allow me to unprotect long enough to change the course
specific info. When I tried to reprotect before sending out the form, I first
clicked Restrict Permission and it was trying to get me to download some
trial app from Microsoft, so I canceled out of that. The I clicked Yes, Start
Enforcing Protection and it was asking for a user name and password. I
finally noticed that the password was optional, so I just clicked OK and it
seemed to work.
